An earthquake in East Haddam on Wednesday was felt throughout a number of Connecticut towns.
The 2.3 magnitude earthquake was reported at 7:30 p.m. in the Moodus section of town, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake was felt in a number of neighboring towns including those of Haddam, Middletown, East Hampton, Hebron, Marlborough, Colchester and others, the USGS said. Multiple people reported feeling their home shake.
According to Colchester Fire and Emergency Medical Services, the earthquake was followed by a small aftershock.
