A 73-year-old man was fatally struck while he was crossing a Fairfield road Tuesday night.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said they have identified the victim but are withholding his name until they are able to locate and notify his family.
Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said the crash happened at 9 p.m. in the 6600 block of Aaron Aronov Drive.
The victim was crossing the road when he was hit by an oncoming motorist. The driver stopped at the scene and called 911.
The investigation is ongoing by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
