KSI is Not Wrong But He Missed a Crucial Argument While Commenting About Tom Holland’s BERO

Tom Holland is one of the biggest stars of his generation, experiencing unprecedented commercial success with his Spider-Man franchise and other hit movies. As a result, it is only natural for the actor to branch out into other ventures like some of his predecessors. Holland recently announced the launch of a non-alcoholic beverage brand Bero.

Following Bero’s marketing campaign, YouTuber KSI criticized the product on social media. While the YouTuber made a compelling argument about the demerits of star-launched products, KSI missed one crucial point. Moreover, his comments might have been in poor taste, especially after KSI’s latest product was criticized along similar lines.

KSI Criticized Tom Holland’s Non-Alcoholic Beverage Brand Bero

Tom Holland is best known for portraying Peter Parker / Spider-Man in the MCU. However, the actor was recently revealed to be involved with a non-alcoholic beverage brand Bero. Following the revelation, YouTuber and social media influencer KSI took to X (formerly Twitter) to criticize Holland’s association with the brand.

Here is what KSI had to say about Holland’s new beverage brand.

From KSI’s words, it is clear that the YouTuber is criticizing actors using his fame to launch new brands, especially ones aimed at a market that doesn’t necessarily understand the merits or demerits of the product.

KSI might have a point, especially in recent times when actors like Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson have positioned themselves as businessmen. However, it is important to note that Holland’s non-alcoholic brand stems from the actor’s previous struggles with alcoholism. As a result, Holland might have a good cause at the root of his new business venture instead of simply using his fame to sell a product.

KSI Missed a Major Point After Facing Backlash Over Lunchly

Although KSI later posted a follow-up tweet claiming that his comments were made in jest, his words were an exact rip-off of @dantdm‘s recent comments which criticized KSI and friends’ latest snacks brand, which is positioned as a competitor for Lunchables.

In September 2024, KSI, Logan Paul, and Mr. Beast announced the launch of Lunchly, which reportedly offers a “better-for-you lunch option.” However, unlike Holland’s product, KSI’s snacks brand is primarily aimed at the younger folk, who are impressionable and susceptible to aggressive marketing, despite claims to give kids a better option. Some of the criticism towards the YouTubers might seem unjustified for merely trying to use their own influencer/star power to promote their product.

But netizens pointed out this exact issue with KSI’s criticism after the YouTuber targeted Holland’s new brand.

As the tweets suggest, netizens weren’t buying into KSI’s opinion on Holland’s new product potentially being just a cash grab that might be harmful to its target audience.

Instead, most netizens agreed that KSI was still salty over the backlash he faced over the launch of Lunchly. While there is a case to be made for actors using their star power to promote poor-quality products, KSI singling out Holland certainly did not sit well with social media users, especially since the YouTuber faced similar criticism recently.
