A man was airlifted to the hospital after striking a tree in Bristol in the early morning hours Wednesday.
The crash was reported in the area of 42 Wolcott St. where investigators believe the driver was headed south when he left the west side of the road and hit a tree shortly before 12:45 a.m., according to Lt. Geoffrey Lund of the Bristol Police Department.
The driver, a 29-year-old man, was taken to an area hospital via LifeStar, Lund said. He was “conscious and stable,” according to Lund.
No one else was in the vehicle, Lund said.
No further information was immediately available.
