AUSTIN (KXAN) — Lanes were closed in both directions on State Highway 71 in southwest Austin due to a crash early Friday morning.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) posted on X at 7:29 a.m. saying all lanes of westbound and eastbound SH 71 were closed at Old Bee Caves Road and traffic was being detoured to Southwest Parkway.
That crash was reported as a traffic fatality on the Austin-Travis County Traffic Report Page at 6:55 a.m. The Travis County Sheriff’s Office was listed as the responding agency.
