One person killed in rollover crash in Burlington

One person has died after a motor vehicle crashed into a rock wall and rolling over in Burlington on Friday morning.

Troopers responded to crash on Stafford Road at the intersection of Mines Road around 8:58 a.m. on Friday, according to the Connecticut Police Department.

State police said a Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by 28-year-old Guage Reichler of Burlington was traveling south in the area of 184 Stafford Ave. in Burlington when it veered off the roadway to the right for an unknown reason and struck a rock wall causing the car to roll over, state police said.

According to state police, Reichler was pronounced dead at the scene by Burlington Paramedic.

The Connecticut State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Squad responded to the scene to assist with the investigation, state police said.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashboard camera footage of the incident is asked to contact Trooper Julia Gettings at Troop L in Litchfield at 860-626-7900 or by email at [email protected].
