Two people were hospitalized, including one who was taken to a burn center, following an overnight fire at a home in Cheshire that led to two firefighters suffering minor injuries.
Fire crews responded to the home on Rockview Drive around 2:30 a.m. Friday and found the home ablaze, according to the Cheshire Fire Department.
Four people and a dog were in the home when the fire broke out, fire officials said. Two of them were taken to area hospitals, including one who was transported to the Connecticut Burn Center at Bridgeport Hospital, according to officials.
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.
According to fire officials, the blaze left the home uninhabitable.
Connecticut State Police said they responded to the home to assist the local fire marshal with the investigation.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
