A man is in critical condition after a shooting in Bridgeport on Sunday morning, according to Tiadora Josef, director of public information for Bridgeport police.
Bridgeport officers responded to the 200 block of Goddard Avenue and located a male victim with a gunshot wound to the head. The man was rushed to an area hospital by first responders, according to Josef.
The Bridgeport PD Detective Bureau was canvassing the area of Goddard Avenue between Cogswell Street and Rockland Street. They are identifying witnesses, and documenting their investigation, according to Josef.
Evidence at the scene is being collected and processed by Bridgeport PD’s Forensic Identification Unit, according to Josef.
