Main Villain Gomah Has an Ability We Thought We Wouldn’t See Till Moro

Gomah is set to be the new king of the Demon Realm in Dragon Ball DAIMA but the others won’t make the process so easy. The promotional material for the series clearly states that the story will feature a conspiracy and that everyone in the realm will try to fight for the position, now that Dabura is dead. Episode 2 revealed that there are kings ruling each of the 3 worlds in the Demon Realm and that creates a problem for Gomah.

Dabura ruled the entire realm and Gomah wants to occupy the same position. From what fans have seen, Gomah doesn’t seem to be too strong. He almost shat his pants when he saw Dabura being eaten by Majin Buu, who inturn was killed by Goku. He and Degusu couldn’t believe how strong they were and so, they turned them into kids to weaken them. Even so, Gomah could be strong himself since he can talk to the other Majin with full authority.

It gets more difficult to introduce new villains that are consistently stronger than the last as the Dragon Team becomes stronger with every arc. Many receive unique abilities or gimmicks to help them compete with powerful characters like Vegeta and Goku. While he lacked the raw strength of Goku or Gohan, Buu stood out because of his superior regenerative skills and his erratic, unpredictable personality.

Even in Dragon Ball Super, Vegeta stated in chapter 93 that he and Goku were already on par with Jiren, Moro, Broly, Gas, and Frieza in terms of physical strength. But what separates them from the Saiyans is how they utilize their Ki. According to the prince, attacking in a relaxed state keeps the enemy from reading one’s moves. Doing so allows for instantaneous, explosive power while keeping stamina in check.

This means that Vegeta’s foes have learnt to control their Ki outside of moments when they attack and spike their power exactly when they need it. Moro has the same capabilities and Supreme Kai warns Goku of the same. Episode 2 says Gomah is not only powerful but also possesses enough magical abilities that can catch the Saiyan duo off guard. And that could be a problem since Moro too was pretty crafty.

Fans cannot forget how tough Moro actually was for Goku and Vegeta. Intially, he wasn’t physically mighty at all. In fact, there’s a good chance even Super Saiyan 2 Future Trunks or Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks would be enough to finish him off. However, his command over magic and other gimmicks enabled him to absorb the energy of planet Namek and its inhabitants, and that managed to overpower Goku and Vegeta quite easily.

The Earthly Saiyan wasn’t able to defeat him even after using the silver-haired Ultra Instinct form. Only Goku’s giant Ki avatar form that threw away Gas into space was able to put the villain to rest. Similarly, Gomah may look plain but he can potentially command a significant amount of magical abilities that can put Goku and Vegeta’s lives in danger.

If Gomah possesses even a fraction of Moro’s powers along with the Third eye, he will pose an unprecedented threat. Dragon Ball has never been bashful about incorporating unexpected powerups, so it’s possible he has access to a transformation as well. Speculation aside, Dragon Ball DAIMA has assured fans that Gomah will be an intriguing antagonist, and with a promising beginning with the first 2 episodes in the series, fans may look forward to seeing his new skills in action shortly.

Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball ZDragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball DAIMA are all available to watch on Crunchyroll.
