Motorcyclist, passenger suffer serious injuries in crash in CT

Two people were seriously injured in a crash involving a motorcycle and a motor vehicle on Route 63 in Litchfield on Monday afternoon.

Troopers responded to a crash on Route 63 in Litchfield around 3:35 p.m. on Monday, according to the Connecticut State Police.

Troopers learned that an Audi Q5 traveling northbound on Route 63 in the area of Webster Road in Litchfield.was stopped in traffic when it was struck by a Harley-Davidson FXSTB, state police said.

The motorcycle driver, a 52-year-old man from Watertown, sustained life-threatening injuries, and the passenger, a 46-year-old woman from Watertown, was serious injured, according to state police.

State police said the Audi driver, a 50-year-old woman from New York City, did not report any injuries.

The collision remains under investigation.
