With Sean “Diddy” Combs awaiting his May 2025 trial, all viewers can do is watch as all the speculations stir. While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, to say that his image has taken a hit would be an understatement. All the world seems to be able to talk about are the allegations against the rapper, and this has caused many of his alleged close friends to be surprised at the situation.
However, there seems to be one person who is still on his side in some ways. During a recent interview, Nick Cannon revealed that he has a very complicated take when it comes to Combs.
Nick Cannon Believed Diddy Was Changing For the Better
During an interview on the No Jumper podcast, Nick Cannon talked about his close friend, Sean “Diddy” Combs. The pair have been photographed together and are known to be close friends. However, the mountains of allegations against the rapper (via Forbes,) would make many assume that the comedian would steer clear of talking about him.
However, not only did Cannon talk about all that is going on with Combs right now, but he also showcased sympathy for him. The hosts of the podcast asked him about the things that the rapper allegedly did, and the answer that he gave was quite shocking.
He mentioned that he knew Combs very well and knew that he was trying to be better. Cannon revealed that the rapper wanted to be a better father to his children and wanted to stop the things that he was doing.

The comedian even pointed out that Combs had been through a lot that helped shape him into the person he is today.
Diddy Was Framed?
When answering the question about the allegations against Diddy, Nick Cannon outright stated that he did not believe that they were true. He pointed out that the rapper was a complicated person, using profanity to explain his personality. With this, he mentioned that this was the kind of energy that he put out, and this wasn’t always a good thing.
As we’ve all seen, Puff is a legendary a******. That’s why I’m saying, it’s an energy thing. If you’ve been a legendary a****** and by any means necessary, and you name your company Bad Boy, you ain’t gonna have a lot of rooting for you when s*** gets tough.
He further mentioned that because of his personality, it is only natural that Combs had foes who did not wish for his best. Adding that the reputation that he had affected his interactions, Cannon hypothesized that the rapper had many who would speak ill of him, even potentially framing him.

It was further mentioned by the comedian that he had attended Combs’ parties in the past; however, he was very cautious when he was attending them. He mentioned that he had no interest in being around when things went in a different direction, so he would leave the event early.
