Norman Sims Assistant Principal Charlene Andrews told KXAN how helpful it was to receive these costumes.

“This is an exciting opportunity. We have our trunk or treat coming up in a couple of days. So receiving these costumes are a great opportunity for the students to dress up, have fun and really embrace the importance of being safe and responsible, kind — which are our three rules here at Norman Sims,” she said.

This is all in support of the of the Neighborhood Longhorns Program (NLP), which is a nonprofit education outreach organization that offers tutoring, on-campus experiences and scholarships to from 2nd to 8th grade, according to the website.
