The recent capture of Monkey D. Garp by Blackbeard Pirates in the One Piece anime series is bound to have a big impact on the overall narrative. Garp is one of the most important characters in the series, as he has ties and relations with almost every powerful character, be it Luffy, Dragon, or Sengoku. There have also been theories about Blackbeard holding a public execution for Garp.
When Blackbeard kidnapped Koby, he had planned to negotiate with the government to legalize his hideout, Hachinosu Island, as a country for criminals. However, his plan changed when he got to know that Koby escaped, but he got an even bigger fish in the form of Garp. Thus, there is a big possibility that he will try to use Garp’s status for his own gain.
This, in a way, will infuriate almost every other character connected to him, and many of them will even try to save him from Blackbeard’s clutches. While there is no certainty of others, the one character who is bound to go after Blackbeard’s crew in order to save Garp is his right-hand man, Bogard.
The Mysterious Character of Bogard
Bogard has been Garp’s apprentice and his right-hand man for the longest time. He is a Marine officer with a mysterious aura, as almost nothing is known about him. Whenever he has made an appearance in One Piece, he has mostly been silent, and fans have only heard him speak when it is absolutely necessary.
His current Navy rank is unknown, but the one thing that can be predicted about him is that he is a member of SWORD, just like Garp and Koby. He is a swordsman, and there is reason to believe that he is extremely powerful, considering the fact that he is the right-hand man of Monkey D. Garp, the Hero of the Navy.
Bogard was also a part of the infamous God Valley Incident, and he managed to survive on his own against some of the greatest One Piece characters. This in itself gives a hint of his power. There is a big possibility that he might be even stronger than Roronoa Zoro at this point.
Bogard Might Go After Blackbeard
Bogard is the only character who has been with Garp for the longest time. He has stayed by Garp’s side through every aspect of his life as a Vice Admiral. And the one time that he was not with him led to Garp getting captured by Blackbeard. This would surely frustrate him to the point that he might go after Blackbeard in order to save Garp.
But the only problem is that even if Bogard is one of the strongest swordsmen in One Piece, he won’t be able to take down all ten captains of the Blackbeard Pirates. And Bogard is probably not stupid enough to go into the biggest pirate territory alone. Therefore, he will most likely get out of his mysterious persona and recruit a group of Marine characters who will most likely rescue Garp.
However, it all depends upon Blackbeard’s intentions with Garp. He can either use him as bait to lure in his opponents like the Navy, Straw Hat Luffy, Monkey D. Dragon, etc. Or he can hold a public execution to prove his power to the One Piece world and mark the beginning of the final war.
