Where Can You Find Homo Gorleo?
Your first encounter with Homo Gorleo is going to be pretty early on in the story, seeing how it’s the tutorial boss. As part of the main story, you’ll face it while traversing the Northern Border Front area.
You may not need it right now, but for the rest of your playthrough, it’s good to know how to cure all ailments in case of an emergency.
The fight begins when your party tries to fend off this gigantic creature. It won’t seem like you’re doing anything at first, but it’s all part of a scripted event, so don’t worry about it.
How to Prepare to Fight Homo Gorleo?
The Homo Gorleo best party is pretty much just the protagonist and Gallica for healing.
Tip
We recommend not using any of your items for this fight, as you won’t need them. HP recovery can be done via Dei.
None of the others will be able to deal any real damage to it except you when you unlock a certain cutscene partway through the fight. That’s when the tide of battle takes a completely new turn.

How to Beat Homo Gorleo?
Learning how to defeat Homo Gorleo in Metaphor: ReFantazio is a piece of cake, so long as you’re listening to the characters’ dialogues and following their hints.
They explain how to take down the boss, as Homo Gorleo is essentially an introduction to how boss fights are going to play out for the rest of the game.

The fight starts very slowly. You’ll see that your basic melee attacks aren’t really scratching Homo Gorleo’s surface at all, but you’ll need to keep attacking for the time being.
Shortly later, you’ll see a cutscene where The Protagonist unlocks the Seeker Archetype. This is where the real fight begins, and it’s time to start dishing back some damage.
You’ll be asked to focus on Homo Gorleo’s legs and wings. Use Cyc to hit them, and it’ll deal good damage while also reducing the power of its dangerous moves.
At one point, Homo Gorleo is going to eat its apples to recover its health. Keep doing what you’re doing until Gallica offers to knock down the apples, and accept it. Once she does this, this fight is basically in your court.
Continue to attack it with Cyc, and use Dei if your health drops dangerously low. You should be able to end the fight pretty soon.
