Helldivers 2 Tesla Tower Stunlock Mechanic is Lowkey a Hilarious Bug We Hope Arrowhead Never Fixes

The gaming community is always divided between love and frustration when it comes to game updates, and Helldivers 2 is no exception. With the arrival of patch 1.001.104 on October 15, the developers released the final update from their 60-day commitment plan. This patch has brought some significant changes, balancing various weapons and stratagems while introducing quality-of-life improvements.

Among these changes was an upgrade to the somewhat unpopular Tesla Tower, which saw a reduction in its charge-up shot cooldown and an overall decrease in its cooldown and lifetime. However, a small bug related to the ragdoll mechanics has combined with the tower and created a hilarious quirk scenario that players should secretly adore.

The patch 1.001.104 brought several changes that were designed to enhance gameplay. One of the much-needed buffs was to the Tesla Tower; its charge-up time was slashed from 3 seconds to just 1 second, and its cooldown was reduced from 150 to 120 seconds. Additionally, its duration on the field was shortened from 180 seconds to 150 seconds.

Looking at the changes, they were meant to make the stratagem a more effective tool against the relentless alien hordes, particularly the bugs, since the tower does no damage to automatons. However, a small bug unrelated to Tesla Tower has created hilarious scenarios for players. Obviously, the bug is not funny for those who are affected, but it can be easily avoided.

The bug involves ragdoll mechanics, causing characters to perform unintended motions and change their positioning, even due to a small explosion nearby. Usually, this is not a major issue, but when it occurs while players are under the Tesla Tower.

This stratagem requires players to stay prone, or else it will shock them, creating a problem. With the new buffed Tesla tower, which charges up every second, it is almost impossible to escape, leading players to meet their demise.

However, players need to realize that the charm of Helldivers 2 has always been rooted in its chaos, and this new Tesla Tower stun lock mechanic fits perfectly into that criteria. While some players will wish for a quick fix, others find these moments hilarious as others are being caught in an endless cycle of zap-and-flop.

Ever since the game faced a decline due to a few controversies, Arrowhead Game Studios has been working tirelessly to make the game fun and immersive for everyone by improving the gameplay experience. It recently completed its 60-day community commitment with patch 1.001.104.

As Arrowhead continues to improve Helldivers 2, one has to wonder whether the Tesla Tower bug should be fixed or if it’s become a beloved part of the game’s identity. While the stunlock mechanic is frustrating to some, for others, it offers unintentional humor that enhances the gaming experience more.

In the grand scheme of things, maybe this hilarious bug is one that players are hoping that Arrowhead never fixes. After all, which player doesn’t enjoy a good laugh in the middle of a chaotic firefight?

In the end, players are really appreciating the developer’s commitment to improving the gameplay experience. With bugs like this, they want to also embrace the madness because, in Helldivers, every moment is worth sharing, even the hilariously absurd ones.
