Global warming is a pressing global issue that demands immediate action and our immediate attention. While the majority of experts agree on the many causes and actions that lead to this pressing phenomenon, Elon Musk and Joe Rogan brought a different angle to this discussion.
The SpaceX founder recently joined Rogan on his The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. During their chat, Musk revealed his changed eating habits while Rogan addressed some global warming facts and the misconceptions surrounding animal agriculture and its alleged leading role in the said event.
Elon Musk Reveals His Changed Diet and Eating Habit
Elon Musk and Joe Rogan recently sat down for a two two-hour plus episode for the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. As is expected of Rogan and his podcast, the two candidly talked about pretty much everything going on in the world, from the US presidential elections to food.
Remaining as unabashed as ever about their perspective on things ‘that matter,’ the two also had a discussion on food choices and their diets. While discussing food, the business mogul revealed he recently switched to a more protein-based diet which has been life-changing for him.
I did switch to like steak and eggs for breakfast and I found that like a powerup… No bread or anything. It’s great.
Meanwhile, Rogan chimed in with his own perspective on the matter,
Well, we’re all overrun with carbohydrates. Like carbohydrates make this big crash, the rise in the crash… You stay flat if you like primarily high protein, high fat diet. Your body runs off ketosis.
So while Musk might be feeling better than ever after having tailored his diet to include more protein-rich food, the podcast host too agreed with his choices while pointing out the misconceptions people have about nutrition stemming from biased narratives that often fail to present the whole picture.
Joe Rogan Dismisses ‘Animal Farming Causes Global Warming’ Propaganda
Global warming is a looming threat that stems from the innumerable harmful actions and activities performed by us. From using air conditioners and refrigerators to factories and production, nearly all activities in our modern world contribute in some way or the other to the said phenomenon.
So when the conversation shifted from dietary habits to global warming, Joe Rogan and Elon Musk tackled an alleged misconception that people have— that animal agriculture is one of the primary contributors to global warming. While emphasizing that the narrative often oversimplifies an otherwise complex issue, Rogan dismissed such notions by stating,
People dismiss this whole carnivore diet thing because in our heads there’s a lot of propagandists that put this thing out there that animal agriculture is the number one contributor to global warming. It’s rubbish. It’s not true. It’s hot b*llsh*t. Not only is it hot b*llsh*t but the real problem is factory farming.
While Musk seemed to agree with him, their exchange in no way dispute that animal husbandry is a cause of global warming but rather was aimed to address the belief that it tops the list of culprits behind the severe event we all are now facing.
