The Italian prosecutor in Palermo has demanded a six-year prison sentence for Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Matteo Salvini, ANSA news agency reports. He is being tried for kidnapping and refusing to perform his official duties after he refused to allow a ship carrying migrants to dock on the island of Lampedusa five years ago.
