Epilepsy is – besides strokes and dementia – one of the most common neurological disorders. In Belgium, some 60,000 people suffer from it. But what exactly does epilepsy entail? Can anyone get it, is it always hereditary and can you also get rid of it? Neurologist and professor Paul Boon (UZGent/UGent): “There are a lot of other disorders that can make people susceptible to epilepsy.”
