Name of record/artist?
Josh: Tigers Blood by Waxahatchee
What emotion does this record invoke for you?
Josh: Just straight happiness. It’s hard to listen to a Waxahatchee record and not smile. She’s just so different from every other artist putting out music currently, and I could listen to her all day and night.
What is your favorite instrumental part of this album?
Josh: The opening to Bored
Does this record bring back any memories for you?
Josh: This record brings back memories from the opening weekend at The Orion Amphitheater. One of my favorite sets of that weekend was the Waxahatchee one. Such a perfect addition to a perfect weekend.
What are the highlight tracks?
Josh: 3 Sisters and Bored are my favorites.
Describe the album artwork
Josh: Katie standing in the center of what could be any Alabama patch of grass. Simple but matches the feel of where the album takes your mind.
RAPID WORD ASSOCIATION – What is the FIRST word that comes to your head
Josh: Alabama
Why should WE listen to this record?
Josh: Why shouldn’t you? There’s a lot of really great music coming from Alabama folks right now, and Katie is leading the way. Continuously putting out incredible album after incredible album. Each album is somehow better than the last, and just when you think she can’t top it, she does. It’s fun to watch and be a fan of her music for that exact reason.
