LADbible brought Tom Holland and Zendaya together for a special episode of its original series, Agree to Disagree, in 2021, tackling some of the most debated topics on the internet. While the pair glided through a bunch of questions essentially as a team, one question divided them and that was, which is better, American chocolates or British chocolates? Zendaya initially remained neutral and diplomatic for a while, until the LADbible team handed Holland a pack of Jaffa Cakes!
As a side note, anyone who is chronically online would know that Jaffa Cakes are Tom Holland’s absolute favorite. As soon as Holland uttered the word “orange,” Zendaya immediately refused to try it, even just once! She claimed, “That doesn’t smell right” and urged the actor to smell it. Although she did take a hesitant bite, she wholeheartedly hated the entire experience because she’s a big no-no when it comes to orange-flavored things.
Jaffa Cakes are essentially a British snack food, small, round, flat cakes with a sponge base, orange jelly, and a chocolate coating. Naturally, it didn’t align with Zendaya’s tastes, but she gave it a shot anyway (only a tiny bit)! She said,
It’s like if you can make something that you don’t want, I would make this.
And although Holland respected her choice, the British lad was visibly upset that his girlfriend wasn’t a fan of the British snack. In the end, Zendaya gave her piece to him, which he gladly accepted, and he also took the entire box of Jaffa Cakes home with him.
