JANEY Godley will be honoured at the Scottish Baftas — where her daughter has been nominated for four awards.
Programmes for next Sunday’s bash will include a tribute to the comic.
And her girl Ashley Storrie, 38, is tipped to win a clutch of prizes for BBC comedy-drama Dinosaur just two weeks after being at her mum’s side as she died from cancer aged 63.
A showbiz insider said: “It’s only fitting Janey is honoured at such a prestigious event.
“She brought so much joy to people even as she faced life’s greatest challenge.
“Ashley has done so well. It’s bittersweet because her mother was so proud and would have been so happy to see her recognised.
“And if she wins any of the Baftas next week there won’t be a dry eye in the house.”
Ashley is up for a writers’ gong alongside Dinosaur’s co- creator Matilda Curtis.
She could also collect awards for best TV actress and best scripted telly show plus an audience award for favourite Scot on screen.
The event at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central hotel will be hosted by Edith Bowman, 50.
We told how Ashley and Sir Billy Connolly led tributes to Janey after her death in the city’s Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice on November 2.
The 81-year-old, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2013, told The Scottish Sun: “Janey was looking forward to dying. She was very optimistic.
“She said, ‘I’m not afraid, you know.’ I said, ‘I know you’re not.’ She was looking forward to all the surprises.”
