Donald Trump Hates These 6 Hollywood Stars Including Samuel L Jackson and Robert De Niro, But Why?

Donald Trump has been one of the most influential figures in the world of politics over the last couple of years. The 78-year-old is on the cusp of potentially winning his second election to reclaim his position as President of the United States, but only one person stands in his way, Kamala Harris, who currently serves as Vice President under the Joe Biden administration.

Since stepping into the limelight, Trump has established himself as an incredibly outspoken person. But not everybody agrees with the things the 45th commander-in-chief has had to convey. At times, Trump has been involved in public feuds with big-named celebrities that have raised eyebrows. So, here are six Hollywood personalities that Donald Trump has butted heads with.

1. Samuel L. Jackson

Samuel L. Jackson, who is best known for his roles in various MCU movies, Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained, and S.W.A.T., has publicly expressed his disdain for Donald Trump. He once told Rolling Stone that the former president reminded him of “rednecks” who berated him when he was younger. He said,

When I see Trump, I see the same rednecks I saw when I was growing up who called me n***** and tried to keep me in my place. That’s what the Republican Party is to me.

However, their feud initially started over a game of golf. Apparently, the actor accused Trump of cheating. The real estate mogul turned politician initially responded by claiming he had little knowledge of who Jackson was. He said,

I don’t know @SamuelLJackson, to best of my knowledge haven’t played golf w/him & think he does too many TV commercials… boring. Not a fan,

However, Trump eventually admitted he was acquainted with Jackson but went on to criticize the actor’s golf abilities. A fired-up Jackson called out the former president for giving attention to his accusations rather than tending to the needs of the country (via Vogue).

2. Robert De Niro

Believe it or not, the feud between Donald Trump and Robert De Niro is still active. The latter is known for portraying several iconic roles in movies like The Godfather, Goodfellas, and The Intern. But he’s also known for being anti-Trump.

According to Business Insider, De Niro and Trump have been at loggerheads since 2011, when the former president demanded to see Barack Obama’s birth certificate. Since then, the actor has criticized Trump’s interviews, speeches, and rallies. De Niro has also expressed his desire to “punch” Trump in the face while calling him a “monster” and “buffoon” on separate occasions as well.

One of the only times Trump responded to De Niro’s criticisms was when the actor insulted him during the 2018 Tony Awards Ceremony. The 81-year-old received a standing ovation after saying “f**k Trump” while hosting the show. Trump clapped back via X saying,

Robert De Niro, a very Low IQ individual, has received too many shots to the head by real boxers in movies… I guess he doesn’t realize the economy is the best it’s ever been with employment being at an all-time high, and many companies pouring back into our country. Wake up Punchy!

In the years that followed, De Niro’s relentless criticism ever stopped and in 2024, the Hollywood veteran was featured as a voice-over in a video that advocated for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, months before he eventually stepped down from running for a second term.

3. Alec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin is best known for his Donald Trump impersonations on Saturday Night Live. The 1988 Beetlejuice star would often mock Trump during his segments, but unfortunately, it triggered a massive Twitter feud between them a couple of years ago. According to CNN, Trump commented on Baldwin’s antics via X saying,

Alec Baldwin, whose dying mediocre career was saved by his terrible impersonation of me on SNL, now says playing me was agony. Alec, it was agony for those who were forced to watch.

Baldwin didn’t hold back either as he slammed Trump using a few past controversies against him. He said,

Agony though it may be, I’d like to hang in there for the impeachment hearings, the resignation speech, the farewell helicopter ride to Mara-A-Lago… Looking forward to the Trump Presidential Library. A putting green. Recipes for chocolate cake. A live Twitter feed for visitors to post on. A little black book w the phone numbers of p*rn stars.

Unfortunately, Baldwin had to step away from SNL after he was involved in an involuntary manslaughter lawsuit that was dismissed in July 2024 (via CBS News).

4. Madonna

Madonna has always carried the reputation of being a rebel in society, but it was her comments during the 2017 Women’s March that put her into the former president’s bad books.

According to BBC, while the singer delivered her speech during the march, she mentioned having thoughts of “blowing up the White House” because she felt extremely angered and outraged.

Trump eventually responded to the music industry icon while speaking to Fox News saying that he thought she was “disgusting” and that she “hurt herself really bad”. He said,

Honestly, she’s disgusting… I think she’s hurt herself really bad… I think she’s made this whole thing sick.

When Madonna addressed her comments, she stated that she didn’t mean to promote violence in any way. The Like A Virgin singer affirmed that her words were taken out of context and that people needed to understand her entire speech to know what she intended to convey to the audience (via BBC).

5. Snoop Dogg

It was Snoop Dogg’s 2017 music video for “Lavender (Nightfall Remix)” that ignited a feud with the former president. At some point in the video, Snoop was seen pointing a gun at a clown that was dressed exactly like Donald Trump.

The rapper addressed the issue while speaking to The Sunday Times claiming he had no problem with the former president. Snoop also said that Trump has done nothing but great deeds for him and that he has only “love and respect” for the former leader because he commuted Michael Harris’ 25-year-to-life prison sentence.

But it wasn’t long until Trump shared his thoughts on Snoop’s video. According to USA Today, the Republican responded via X by saying,

Can you imagine what the outcry would be if [Snoop Dogg], failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!

The rapper’s feelings toward Trump quickly changed and he clapped back at the 78-year-old politician during an appearance on Big Boy’s Neighborhood on Real 92.3. The Gin & Juice hitmaker claimed that though he had never voted a day in his life, he was willing to break the streak just to keep Trump away from office.

6. LaVar Ball

In 2017, LaVar Ball’s son, LiAngelo Ball was arrested in China for shoplifting. Sadly, Ball’s eldest son was detained along with two of his UCLA basketball teammates. Fortunately, they were allowed to return to the United States with a clean slate, all thanks to Donald Trump (via Forbes).

However, Trump posted a message on X (formerly known as Twitter) claiming that LaVar showed zero gratitude toward his actions that allowed LiAngelo to walk away scot-free (via Forbes). He said,

Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal. I should have left them in jail!

Ball shared his response to Trump’s social media rank while speaking to CNN claiming if he needed to thank anybody, it was China’s President Xi Jinping.
