Article after article is published describing the campaign words of candidate Trump.  Beyond the inexhaustible lies and disinformation, the words he uses are immoral and vile.  He incites violence and sows confusion and distrust in government institutions and factual information.  He threatens hecklers and journalists with physical assault, taunts and ridicules people with disabilities, regularly demeans his opponents, uses gross and misogynistic language towards women, threatens to withhold aid to whole states, and promises to exact revenge on those practicing free speech and attempting to uphold the law.

We are witnessing the societal damage wrought by his careless and callous disregard for decency and human wellbeing.

2024 CT Voter Guide: Here is what you need to know for election day

All of this is unacceptable and disgraceful, and certainly is not tolerated in our homes, schools, churches, nor most other public places.  We expect better of our children and ourselves.  And yet, millions of people who would never utter these words or condone such behavior, will cast their vote for a morally corrupt man, a would-be dictator, a twice impeached former president and a convicted felon.  Where do your principles go when you cast your vote?  How do you justify your vote for a man who demonizes people from all backgrounds and walks of life?

Harris is laying out a new plan to empower Black men as she tries to energize them to vote for her

How do you justify your vote for a man who cares nothing about anyone, but himself, a man who is a demagogue, a man who idolizes dictators like Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong Un and Victor Orban, a man who above all else, craves power.  In a democracy, citizens give power to elected officials to serve all the people for the common good.  That is what makes America great.  This man demonstrates repeatedly that he is willing to vilify anyone who criticizes him and incites violence on those who dissent and attempt to uphold the rule of law. How is that a man for the people?  He embodies the making of a dictator who sees himself above the law. He is dismantling and will destroy all vestiges of the America and American ideals we cherish. We are better than this.  Our children deserve better than this.  As citizens, please don’t give him your power. He won’t give it back.
