Who doesn’t love the classic Halloween film, “Hocus Pocus?” The Disney film starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as witches chasing some local children is on everyone’s list for family viewing during the season.
This year, families can watch the movie amid the ornate luxury of the 1927 Alabama Theatre in downtown Birmingham.

Set in Salem, Mass., on Halloween night, the film follows a brother and sister through hilarious and harrowing encounters with the infamous Sanderson Sisters.
The franchise now includes a sequel, “Hocus Pocus 2,” a novelization of the sequel, a Disney theme park attraction and a third film, which is reportedly in development.
