“Cuffing season” is taking on a new meaning thanks to Victoria Beckham. Sure, it may be about that time to lock down a boo for the frigid months ahead, but it’s also a moment in which a lot of us are breaking out our colder weather clothing—including pants we just never get around to hemming. But no tailor, no problem, because Beckham is making a case for the extreme cuff.
The fashion designer and former pop star served as a walking advertisement for her eponymous label yesterday in New York, reminding us that she is her own best customer. She wore a dove gray blazer cinched at the waist by a long tie, which she wore with matching wide-legged trousers. Beckham chose not to tailor the hem of her pants, but wear them in an extreme single cuff which hovered ever so slightly off the ground.

Beckham accented her gray suiting with a pop of color. She carried a mini burgundy top handle bag (from none other than Victoria Beckham), which she coordinated with her teetering dark red platforms that peeked out from beneath her extreme cuff when she walked. And, of course, no VB look is complete without a pair of serious shades—namely a pair of oversized purple lenses.
So, whether or not you manage to secure a special someone for the winter months, we can all at least take a cue from Victoria Beckham and embrace a different kind of cuffing season.
