Real Reason Why Naruto Runs With His Hands Behind His Back Will Make You Respect Kishimoto More

There are a lot of things that make Naruto’s character unique in Masashi Kishimoto’s series, but the most iconic thing is his running technique. Ever since the series started, Naruto has been deemed different from other characters, and there are a lot of aspects behind it. But the one that went most viral and literally became a meme was his eccentric run.

Since his childhood, Naruto’s habit of running involves him putting his hands behind and bending more than normal. This, according to the narrative, makes him faster than an average character, and a lot of other Shinobis also use the same technique. But Kishimoto has never revealed the real reason behind why he drew Naruto’s running in the most unique way.

However, some hardcore Naruto fans have finally managed to unlock the secret behind Naruto’s run. And while there are other explanations like physics, Kishimoto’s main reason for creating the “Naruto run” was because it was much easier to draw and animate.

The Physics Behind The Naruto Run

The Naruto run is one of the biggest anime memes on the internet. Initially, it was seen by fans as an imaginative way of running that only made sense in the series, but many Naruto fans tested it and found out that it actually has a scientific reason that makes it viable in an ideal world.

The Naruto run makes it easy to counter the drag that pushes us while we are running. By reducing the drag, the Naruto run helps in increasing the speed, which is a very important aspect for any kind of Shinobi. However, it is not very practical in the real world as it affects the balance of humans, which is much more important than gaining speed.

Thus, while the Naruto run makes sense in a way for the series and the characters within the series, it is not at all effective in reality. Also, even in the anime, Masashi Kishimoto did not allow every character to use the Naruto run. It is only limited to the protagonist and a bunch of other characters.

Masashi Kishimoto’s Reason Behind The Naruto Run

For the longest time, fans have been trying to understand the complexity behind the Naruto run and why Kishimoto used it specifically for Naruto and a few other characters. Essentially, u/DreamedJewel58 figured it out and revealed it on Reddit.

The real reason why Kishimoto created this eccentric run for Naruto is because it is easy to draw. Not only that, but it is also very easy to animate as it removes the essential variation of hands while normal running.

As Naruto frequently uses Shadow Clone Jutsu, Kishimoto had to create multiple clones of him, which already made his work extremely difficult.

Thus, he decided to draw Naruto and his actions in the most efficient and smooth way possible. This way, he was not really bound by Naruto’s clones and was able to focus on other characters and their stories, making Naruto one of the best anime and manga series in the world.

Naruto is available to watch on Hulu.
