Yeah… there was a second American Psycho film that no one actually remembers since it was such a failure. The film starred Mila Kunis and William Shatner and it wasn’t well received at that time.
Although originally the film’s script had no connections to the original film, the script was altered to fit in the narrative of Patrick Bateman’s structure. Before it’s release, the film was called American Psycho II: All American Girl.
The American Psycho 2 That No One Remembers
Christian Bale has millions of fans who remember him as Patrick Bateman in the iconic 2000 film. However, what many people do not know is that there was a sequel to the film too.
Starring Mila Kunis and William Shatner in leading roles, the film was directed by Morgan J. Freeman (not the actor) but was a failure. The failure was so spectacular that even Bret Easton Ellis, the author of the original novel denounced the script.
The story follows Mila Kunis studying criminology and murdering her fellow classmates to get ahead in her career. Kunis later expressed regret for starring in the film. Over the years, most people forgot about it.
American Psycho 2 received a rating of 3.7/10 on IMDB and a meager low of 11% on Rotten Tomatoes. As for the upcoming film, no confirmed date has been released yet. The 2002 Mila Kunis film is available to rent on Apple TV+ in the U.S.
