Consider impact of CT recreational marijuana on driving?

Consider impact of CT recreational marijuana on driving?

I read the headline story containing quotes from U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy and Gov. Ned Lamont about the reasons for the significant increases in traffic fatalities in Connecticut.

Has anyone considered the main cause might be the legalization of recreational marijuana?  I don’t want to hear that marijuana impairment is difficult to measure and enforce. Furthermore, when will data be made public on the “profitability” to the state on tax revenue versus cost of administration.

Add to the expense side of that analysis the loss of life, medical expense, property damage, and more.  I would also be interested in the data where the police indicated marijuana, on its own, or combined with alcohol, was the root cause of the accident.

Money laundering and ‘large-scale trafficking of marijuana’. Here’s how a CT man did it.

Seriously, do Senator Murphy and Governor Lamont expect an actionable response from Secretary Buttigieg when the real cause is already up in smoke.
