Police investigating disturbance after CT high school football game

Groton Town Police are investigating a disturbance between the Fitch and Norwich Free Academy football teams following their high school game on Friday night.

Officers responded to the disturbance at Fitch High School’s Dorr Field between the field house and concession stand around 6:40 p.m. on Friday, according to police.

Police said the disturbance was between players from both teams. No arrests or injuries were reported, and the incident remains under investigation.

Groton Town Police are working with Board of Education officials from both schools to identify the individuals involved, according to police.

Anyone who witnessed the disturbance or has other information about the case is asked to call Groton Town Police Department at 860-441-6712.
