Robert Downey Jr., the man born for the role of Tony Stark aka Iron Man, portrayed the role beautifully for 11 years. While fans were loving him, a Russian scientist came up with an actual Iron Man suit that’s almost ready. And no, we’re not talking about laser lights. This is the real deal.

Tony Stark made the first prototype of Iron Man when he was stuck in a cave. Well, this guy had similar beginnings as he built his suit in a garage. However, to create the fully functional suit, the Russian engineer had to invent the world’s first personal hydrogen reactor!

Not just props or anything like that, but to create the iconic suit that Robert Downey Jr. wears in the MCU, Alex Burkan had to get creative. The engineer has been documenting all of his progress on videos on YouTube.

The channel, called “Alex Labs” has a million subscribers and people are encouraging him to continue. According to his videos, Alex Burkan revealed that he invented the world’s first personal hydrogen arc reactor similar to what RDJ had in the MCU. Check out his latest video below:

Nicknamed “The Real Tony Stark”, Burkan has millions of fans that support and help him through his way. In return, the Russian engineer is closer than ever to creating the fully functional suit and potentially, releasing it in the future.

To replicate Robert Downey Jr.’s movements from the MCU, Alex Burkan also invented the pneumatic sensor system. The system interlinks Burkan’s body movements with that of the suit. Burkan also designed a plasma propulsion system that makes for the jet thrusters and the laser-like cutter in Downey Jr.’s suit.

Robert Downey Jr. Has a Craze of His Own

Having a controversial career in Hollywood, Downey Jr. redeemed it all when he starred in the role of Tony Stark in the 2008 MCU film Iron Man. That was the first time ever that Downey Jr. donned the suit of Iron Man and the world hasn’t been the same since.

Although his character died at the end of Avengers: Endgame, fans waited for the return of Downey Jr. They were not disappointed when he was announced to reappear in the MCU as Doctor Doom.

In an interview for a GQ profile, veteran actor Sebastian Stan, who portrays the role of Bucky Barnes in the MCU, talked about RDJ’s return. The actor revealed that he is quite excited about a reunion that will probably end badly.

I hope I’m in a scene with him. Is there any other guy that could pull that off? I don’t know, probably not. After ‘Tropic Thunder,’ is there anything that guy can’t do?

Well, Alex Burkan’s suit will probably be ready before Robert Downey Jr.’s appearance in the MCU again. Fans wish Burkan good luck and hope that the engineer completes the project successfully and safely.

On the other hand, Robert Downey Jr.’s return as Doctor Doom in the MCU is announced to be in Avengers: Doomsday. The film is set for a release date of 1 May 2026 in theaters across the U.S.
