The most intriguing thing about him is his secret Devil Fruit that he stole from his father after killing him. Not much is known about this Devil Fruit, except the fact that it is deemed the legendary Devil Fruit that is passed down through the Elbaph royal line. While fans have been wondering about this mysterious Devil Fruit, they have devised multiple theories that could explain the contents of the fruit.

One of those One Piece theories not only talks about the legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaph but also confirms the assumption that Zoan Devil Fruits have a will of their own.

Loki’s Desperation For The Legendary Devil Fruit

One Piece Chapter 1130 starts with Luffy and his crewmates finally escaping the weird castle and traveling on a bridge. However, as they walk through the bridge, Luffy hears the roaring of a mysterious figure, which he then goes on to investigate while letting the rest of his crew move ahead.

The scene then cuts to the Giants’ ship, where the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates are present. As they discuss the land of Elbaph, it is revealed that Elbaph has been going through a tough time because a majority of the Giants in One Piece are forced to control one single Giant who is more powerful than everyone else. This Giant is none other than Loki, who has committed all manners of evil acts.

But his most evil crime was killing his father, King Harald, for a legendary Devil Fruit that is passed down through the Elbaph royal line. His desperation for eating the legendary Devil Fruit led to him being titled the accursed prince Loki. Also, the next time Loki is unleashed, the world will be brought to ruin, which in itself speaks for his character and the power of his Devil Fruit.

Loki’s Devil Fruit Might Explain A Big Mystery About Mythical Zoan Fruits

According to a theory posted by u/Creative-Chaos765 on Reddit, the legendary Devil Fruit that was part of the royal line of Elbaph was actually Luffy’s Nika fruit. The theory states that when Loki’s father learned about his son’s desperation for the legendary Devil Fruit, he himself ate it and got into a battle with Loki. However, Loki was too strong for King Harald, which led to his death.

However, after his death, the mysterious and legendary One Piece Devil Fruit gets reborn outside Elbaph for the first time. This was only known to Shanks because of his ties with Elbaph, and he goes on to retrieve it, which is then eaten by Luffy, ultimately making him Sun God Nika. This in a way proves that the mythical zoan Devil Fruits have a will of their own in One Piece.

As Luffy’s Devil Fruit is the mythical zoan Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, it already knew that the bearer of its power wouldn’t be born in Elbaph. This is why it decided with its own will to be reborn outside of Elbaph and somehow reach Luffy, who was on the other side of the One Piece world.

One Piece manga is available to read on Viz Media.
