Anna Kendrick allegedly asked to throw away all fan mail
It is notable that The Twilight Saga franchise almost killed Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s careers despite making them household names. But for Anna Kendrick, the franchise was a good kickstart to her career. She was unaffected by the wide media attention and her career continued to flourish.
But according to celebrity stylist and TikToker, I Am Tahira, there is another side to Anna Kendrick unknown to many. In a video posted in 2021, she recalled an incident that occurred in 2016 when she used to work for an unnamed brand. She accused the 39-year-old of allegedly trashing all of the fan mail sent to her during a book signing event.

The stylist revealed that collecting the letters and drawings sent by her beloved fans was a part of her job. In a second part of her TikTok video (see Elle), she added that the scrapbooks, paintings, and leads of fan mail were “heartfelt” but the Woman of the Hour filmmaker decided to trash them all.
The fan mail we collected was so heartfelt. Heartfelt letters and gift cards to her favorite places, drawings, paintings, scrapbooks of times when they met her before, it was so nice and all of that went into the trash.
Tahira warned her fans that any gift sent to her from any fan would go to trash. Besides this, she also highlighted another incident from the same event when she asked Anna Kendrick about her choice of outfit for the day. The 50/50 actress demanded $10,000 to wear a look suggested by them.
Usually, celebrities don’t charge anything from stylists to wear outfits. In exchange, the celebrity promotes their work to other audiences via the red carpet or social media.
Tahira had another nasty encounter with Anna Kendrick after 2 years
In part 2 of her video, Tahira continued to talk about another major incident after the fan mail trashing controversy. If the fans were not disappointed enough, the celebrity stylist spoke about an incident that happened during her job at the Barneys.
This time, the stylist was hellbent to not face the Oscar-nominated actress again and sent her colleague to attend Kendrick. But surprisingly, her colleague also had a similar not-so-pleasant experience with the Portland-born actress. Anna Kendrick allegedly behaved rudely after getting to learn that Tahira’s co-worker did not know her identity.
After [my colleague] helps her, she comes over to me and goes, ‘Do you have any idea who that is?’ and I said, ‘Oh yeah, she’s an actress.’ And she goes, ‘I had no idea who she is but she just got so nasty with me because I didn’t know who she was.
These events led many fans to openly express their hate for Anna Kendrick, who recently made her directorial debut with Netflix’s Woman of the Hour. Although Kendrick never commented on the allegations, many followers asserted that they had similar experiences on meeting the actress.
