It is funny how the most notorious weapon in the game was the one that could not even fire bullets. It was still so annoying that players had devised unique strategies to just counter and eliminate its threat.
Black Ops 6 Will Not Have The Most Controversial Weapon In The Game
The riot shield has officially been discarded by Black Ops 6. The weapon has been at the center of debate for a long time now. It has a lot of mixed reviews, with some people claiming it to be the worst weapon in the game and others who are absolutely in love with it.
It was considered an extremely overpowered weapon that encouraged the frustrating turtle tactics. The reason it was a fan favourite and the reason it was despised for is the same: its ability to dodge bullets extremely efficiently.
The shield was so overpowered on the battlefield that you would need to save up all your explosives for people showing up with the riot shield. This shield had a great impact on the gameplay since it changed the dynamics of a fight drastically. However, Black Ops developer Treyarch has never been a fan of this weapon. Black Ops 2 was the only game that included a riot shield.

A Riot Shield does not even fit well within the gameplay of Black Ops 6. The gameplay of the upcoming title is extremely fast-paced, with little to no scope for turtle tactics to flourish.
Black Ops 6 is coming with an omnimovement mechanic, which will allow you to move across the map more swiftly and rapidly. The gameplay has massively been enhanced when compared to its predecessors.
