If you want to become a real thorn in the side of your opponents in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, you need to know how to get Broly’s Ring. This is one of the several Ability Items you can collect in the game, and is especially useful when going Online to fight against other players.
Many would read the description for Broly’s Ring and discount it as an immediate disadvantage. It’s similar to how some rings in the Dark Souls series increased the amount of damage you take! But, in the right hands, it can become one of the best items in the game, and we’re here to show you how to use Broly’s Ring.
How to Get Broly’s Ring in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero?
Broly’s Ring can only be obtained by wishing it for after summoning either Porunga or Super Shenron after collecting their respective Dragon Balls after you reach Level 20. Ability Items in Sparking Zero allow players to customize their characters during a fight, adding buffs to different abilities and techniques. Dragon Ball Sparking Zero fights can get intense, and some of the Ability Items can help you gain the upper hand.
Many Ability Items in the game affect aspects such as Dragon Dash, Revenge Counters, and Sparking! mode, and Ki consumption. While they have no effect when you are playing through Episodic Battles, they can come in great use when heading online to fight some Ranked Matches. With the right set of Ability Items, you can make the most of every encounter and increase your Ranking very quickly.
However, to get Broly’s Ring in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, you will need to play through the Episodic Battles to get seven Namekian or Super Dragon Balls. Both of these Dragon Balls are pretty rare, as Porunga can offer you three wishes per summon and Super Shenron is the only way to get two characters.
Tip
You can get a guaranteed set of Super Dragon Balls to summon Super Shenron by playing through either Goku’s or Trunks’ Episodic Battles.
To get Namekian Dragon Balls, you can rinse and repeat playing the World Tournament. This way, you will earn Zeni while farming for these collectibles. By changing some match settings and choosing the right character, you can make the entire process much simpler, and we’ve listed an easy way to farm these collectibles in the game.
Once you have collected the required Dragon Balls, head over to the “Come Forth…” tab in the main menu. From here, summon the Dragon and then choose the option stating “I want ability items.” Broly’s Ring should be one of the options you can choose if you have reached Level 20.
How to Use Broly’s Ring?
Broly’s Ring can be very useful when used in Ranked matches as it restricts your opponent from using Transformations or Fusion. This restriction is placed on you as well, but given you have prior knowledge of this, you can put your opponent on the backfoot when they go to Transform mid-fight. This condition may be seen as a disadvantage for yourself, but it can easily be worked around.
Without the ability to Transform or Fuse to get better attacks or more health, players will be reliant purely on their skill. This is especially useful for DP Battles when most players would be taking the base form of their favorite characters. Base characters cost less DP than their Transformed or Fused variants, and the usual intention is to become or create the character they want in the middle of the battle.
This would also restrict your opponent from using specific moves that can only be performed after Transforming or Fusion, such as Gogeta’s Stardust Breaker or Goku’s Super Saiyan God Kamehameha.
While you also won’t be able to buff your character, you can work against this limitation by choosing the Fused or Transformed variant during character selection. In DP Battles this will cost you more and your team will be smaller, sometimes comprising just two characters!
