ABC’s Reality Television show, Shark Tank quickly gained popularity among the audience due to its unique premise. The show featured some prominent businessmen as the judging panel or sharks, who oversaw start-up ideas and small businesses to potentially invest in.
The series hosted some of the most well-known names in the market, and the sharks changed over the seasons. Most of the judges were successful business owners or investors, but some were richer compared to others. Out of several judges, only a handful had a superior standard of living when their houses were compared.
Barbara Corcoran
Barbara Corcoran was the former founder of The Corcoran Group, a real estate brokerage in New York City, which she later sold to NRT. The recurring shark had an impressive track record as a businesswoman and investor, which was reflected by her massive penthouse.
According to Closer Weekly, Corcoran owns a beautiful New York City penthouse located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The article mentioned that she bought the luxurious place in 2015 for the exorbitant price of $10 million. The TV personality then spent even more to get the house renovated as per her vision and needs.
Robert Herjavec
Robert Herjavec was the former founder of BRAK Systems, a Canadian integrator of Internet security software, later went on to found The Herjavec Group in 2003. The Croatian-Canadian businessman had previously appeared on Dragon’s Den before he became a shark for the ABC Reality TV show.
The shark had several properties but mostly lived alongside his family in their 13,000-square-feet estate in Hidden Hills, California. TMZ revealed in their report that the 1.7-acre property cost Herjavec $15 million when he bought it in 2019. He then went on to sell the estate for $17.25 million in May 2021 as per an article by Variety (via Nicki Swift).
Lori Greiner
Before becoming a regular feature on the reality show, Lori Greiner was famous for her QVC show Clever & Unique Creations. The businesswoman founded For Your Ease Only, Inc for which she also served as the President.
Although she is a popular TV personality, Greiner refrains from divulging much about her personal life. In a rare report by Hello! it was revealed that the investor shared a dazzling home with her husband, Dan Greiner.
Further details about her abode have not been revealed but the businesswoman has filmed a lot of her social media content from her house which appeared to be fabulous. Clips of her residence reeked of opulence and luxury which reflected her prosperity.
Daymond John
The shrewd investor and businessman was also the founder of The Shark Group. As a fulfilled family man, Daymond John lives in a high-rise unit bustling with a family of five.
According to The New York Times, he lives in an apartment in midtown Manhattan, just a street across the Empire State Building. The Shark also founded and is the president and chief executive officer of FUBU, an American hip-hop apparel company.
The report also mentioned that he had another residence in Dutchess County, outside the city. Inspired by a start-up offer from Shark Tank, John also chose to house a million and a half bees at his property.
Mark Cuban
One of the most popular and perhaps well-off former sharks from the bunch, Mark Cuban leads an expensive lifestyle. The businessman gained notoriety for his impeccable investments and sharp business acumen which helped him amass his net worth.
He was also the former principal owner and current minority owner of the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Cuban also co-owns 2929 Entertainment and was one of the main judges on the show before he announced quitting in 2023. According to Nicki Swift, the billionaire paid $17.6 million for his 23,676 square feet residence in 1999. Velvet Ropes exposed that Cuban had a list of famous neighbors, which included former President George W. Bush.
Kevin O’Leary
Mr. Wonderful, aka Kevin O’Leary, has been known for his prolific real estate ventures. Other than the ABC show, he had also been a part of shows like The Lang and O’Leary Exchange, Dragons’ Den, and Redemption Inc. Alongside business ventures and real estate, he also dabbled in politics in 2017 when he campaigned for the leadership position in the Conservative Party of Canada.
As per the Toronto Star, the businessman had several properties under his belt, reflecting his wealth and status. The report revealed he had a residence in Toronto as well as in Muskoka, Ontario. An article from Nicki Swift stated he also owned another house in Geneva, Switzerland, and a studio in Miami. His favored residence seems to be in Boston, where he resides in a 2,300-square-foot brownstone on the popular Marlborough St. as per House Digest.
