That’s the vibe Jason Segel was going for in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, the 2008 breakup comedy that had everyone talking.

Playing Peter Bretter, a guy dealing with his famous ex-girlfriend Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell), Segel took things to a whole new level—by going full-frontal right after a shower. Director Stoller recounted the moment, saying,

[Jason] and I were talking about the script and he said he thought it would be funny if he showed his p*nis in the opening.

I was like, ‘I don’t think you can do that.’ I literally just didn’t think you could do it. And then in this meeting at Universal, he said, ‘I really think it would be funny if I did full frontal in that scene,’ and everyone laughed.

But after some laughs around the table, he was like, “Oh, I guess you can do that.” Talk about a wild turn! And Bell had her own take on it. When Segel was feeling a little awkward on set, she couldn’t help but poke fun. She revealed,

I was like, ‘You wrote this, bro! You didn’t need to write it if you didn’t want to do it.

But Segel was all in—no prosthetics, just pure, hilarious vulnerability. So, the next time you catch Forgetting Sarah Marshall, remember Segel’s fearless commitment to capturing the rawness of heartbreak—completely bare and totally unapologetic.

It’s not just a scene; it’s a moment that shows just how far he was willing to go for laughs.

Kristen Bell snuck a cheeky joke into Frozen, and somehow, nobody caught it. In For the First Time in Forever, Bell’s character Anna sings, “Why have a ballroom with no balls?”—a clever double entendre that almost didn’t make it into the 2013 Disney hit. In a Vanity Fair interview, Bell revealed, “We slid it under the radar.”

Bell, who always dreamed of being in a Disney movie, took creative liberties with Anna, shaping her into a relatable, quirky character. “I want her to snore, I want her to talk too much and too fast…trip over things” Bell explained, making Anna the opposite of a traditional Disney princess.
