Ice Cube appeared on Patrick Bet-David’s The PBD podcast where he talked about his old connection to Diddy and how he felt about the accusations against him. According to Cube, Diddy was cool to work with and played some great music back in the day. But despite working together on a few records, they lost contact.

Cube went on to share the reason why they couldn’t be in touch anymore. He shared that both he and Diddy had their own things going on. Moreover, Diddy maintained his acquaintances through his parties. Cube shared that he was not the partying type and therefore never attended any of them. He told The PBD podcast:

They was doing their thing, I was doing mine. You know, I’m not the partying type. I ain’t never been to a Diddy party. Ain’t never really wanted to go. But I don’t go to a lot of people parties. That just ain’t what I’m in it for.

Ice Cube went on to share that the hip-hop industry was like the “wild west”, where both the good, the bad, and the ugly will continue to happen. However, he also claimed during the interview that Diddy was being targeted. He shared that someone was pulling the strings against the Bad Boys Entertainment CEO. He shared:

I believe he’s being targeted. I believe someone has the power to pull the trigger to make this stuff. This domino effect happened.

Cube further shared that Diddy was cool up to a point before all the trouble started brewing against him. He felt as if somebody decided that he was their new target.

During a recent concert at the Yaamava’ Theater in Highland, California, Ice Cube told the crowd that he and rapper WC had never attended a Diddy party. His comments came after the court indictment against Diddy detailed the “freak-off” gatherings held at his homes, involving dr*gs and s*x workers.

In a TikTok video that went viral in September, Cube can be heard saying, “Almost 40 years of rocking the mic, and I’mma tell you right now; me and WC ain’t never been to a Diddy party motherf**ker.” The crowd cheered for the singer as he continued, “You ain’t gotta worry about us on them motherf**king tapes.” He then transitioned to his next song in the concert.

Diddy was arrested in New York City on September 16 and is currently incarcerated at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center. He is being charged with racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in pr*stitution. The lawsuits continue to pile up against the singer. His trial will begin in May 2025.
