Elisa Mouliaá’s complaint against Errejón: “He closed the door and started kissing me and touching me without my consent” | Spain

The complaint filed yesterday Thursday at the police station by the actress and television presenter Elisa Mouliaá, 35, against the former parliamentary spokesperson for Sumar Íñigo Errejón for a episode of sexist violence that he allegedly suffered three years ago includes a report of events that, according to police sources, could point to three alleged crimes of sexual assault. In the complaint, to which EL PAÍS has had access, Mouliaá details that the events occurred one night in September 2021. Both had attended a party together and, according to the woman’s story, the politician sexually assaulted her, kissing her. without her consent, when they were going up in the elevator and, later, he put her in a room of the house, closed the door latch and touched her numerous times without her consent, even removing “his virile member.” Then they drove to Errejón’s home and there he tried to have sexual relations again, at which point she criticized his behavior and reproached him for making her feel uncomfortable and violated.

The Police have already forwarded the complaint to the Plaza de Castilla courts in Madrid and it will be the Investigative Court number 47 of the capital that will investigate the facts, the Superior Court of Justice has reported.

According to the agents in the complaint, the alleged triple episode of sexual violence occurred after she attended the presentation of a book by Errejón (the politician presented Yet. From the fast years to the future at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid on September 22 of that year); a meeting in which, the victim emphasizes, “always maintained a correct attitude.” At the end of that public event, she invited him to go together to a party that two friends of the actress were holding in an apartment in Madrid. Upon arriving at the building and when they were going up in the elevator, Mouliaá relates that the deputy grabbed her “tightly by the waist” and began to kiss her “inserting his tongue inside her mouth, leaving her breathless and in a violent manner,” so that she already felt “very intimidated.”

The actress says that once at the party they both “danced, drank and chatted” with other attendees, and that at a certain moment she began to dance with a friend and that she believes that this fact “must have produced an attack of jealousy” in Errejón. , who “grabbed her tightly by the arm and forcibly took her for about six meters, down a hallway, until he introduced her into a room of the house.” Once inside, “he locked the door to prevent the complainant from escaping, beginning to kiss and touch the complainant on different parts of her body, especially the area of her breasts and buttocks (. ..) without the consent of the declarant,” continue the agents who took her statement.

The actress and presenter reported that “immediately” Errejón “pushed the complainant onto the bed and the accused took out his virile member” and touched her breasts. The victim claims that she felt “paralyzed and did not consent to anything that happened.” Finally, and after insisting that he wanted to continue at the party, Errejón let her go with the condition that in 20 minutes they would leave the party together and go to his house, and he informed her that he was going to request a vehicle for this purpose. Mouliaá affirms that he agreed to his condition “since his intention was for everything that was happening to end as soon as possible.”

Finally, and after “a while longer at the party,” the politician grabbed the victim’s jacket, “put it on very quickly” and hurried him to leave. On the way to Errejón’s home, Mouliaá points out that she received a call from her father informing her that her little daughter had a very high fever, despite which the deputy, with a “cold and impassive” attitude, did not offer her a ride. to their parents’ house, but continued on their way to his. Once there, Errejón, “without saying a word, began to kiss the complainant again on the lips, while touching her in the area of her breasts and buttocks, all of this outside her clothes, while trying to take her to his room.” At that moment, according to the victim, she told him that “she was feeling very uncomfortable,” that she was worried about her daughter and that what was happening seemed “very violent” to her. And finally, according to the complaint, he blurted out: “Only if it is yes (in reference to the law against sexual violence approved in the last legislature), it seems unbelievable that this is happening to me with you.”

The actress claims that she then asked him “if he didn’t know what seduction, timing and listening were, to which the accused responded by thanking her and telling her that this was going to be useful for future encounters, an extreme that caused the declarant surprise, repulsion and disappointment.” When the police asked him if he felt like a victim of a sexual crime, Mouliaá said yes, and the statement was concluded. In conversation with elDiario.es, The actress added that Errejón ended up proving her “right.” “He asked for my forgiveness and told me that he might be getting confused because of his political stance,” he stated. And she also details that she then ordered a taxi and left the politician’s home.

The complaint is accompanied by a screenshot of the telephone conversation that Mouliaá had 18 days later (on October 10) with a friend, in which the actress tells her that she is “very disappointed in Errejón.” “He took me to a room and attacked me,” she tells him, adding that he “kept trying” when they went to his house: “And I stopped him again and told him that he was invading me.”

According to police sources, the agents will now proceed to verify the veracity of the events through various investigations, such as taking statements from family members and possible witnesses and viewing images that may exist of the events. “If sufficient evidence appears against the alleged perpetrator, proceedings will be taken against him, always reporting this to the judicial authority,” they add.

The Errejón scandal broke out last Tuesday, when journalist Cristina Fallarás published on her profile on the social network Instagram the testimony of an anonymous woman who, although she did not quote the Sumar deputy, stated having suffered sexual violence from “a politician who lives in Madrid” whom he referred to as “the social indignant” who “never comes out on the days of 8M.” On Thursday, by surprise, Errejón announced who resigned from all his positions and abandoned politics. In that writing, the politician assumed “errors” and acknowledged having “reached the limit of contradiction between the character and the person.” It also suggested that he had engaged in “toxic” and patriarchal behavior, although without specifying what he was referring to. After learning of this resignation, Fallarás claimed to have received the testimony of at least eight other women who also described alleged episodes of abuse of power and psychological abuse by the politician.

However, Mouliáa was the first to publicly denounce the situation experienced. “Hello, I am a victim of sexual harassment by Íñigo Errejón and I want to report it,” he stated in a message on his X profile that same Thursday afternoon. According to the actress explained to SERif he did not dare to denounce it then—in 2021—it was “out of fear, because of who Errejón was, because of the power of politics that does not know how far it can go.” Mouliáa admitted that she feared that her acting career would be harmed if she reported it, although she specified that she did tell her family and friends what happened.

In recent years, Errejón’s closest collaborators had been leaving him behind and sources close to Sumar have admitted that they warned him that he should “control his personal life.” On Wednesday night, after a meeting of its executive, Más Madrid, a party that he co-founded in 2019 and from whose leadership he had also distanced himself, asked for his resignation, and those of Yolanda Díaz told him that he should leave the minutes.
