However, Turtleme has a different story to tell. In an interview with YouTuber, RogersBase, the author recounted what he loved reading as a kid.
Growing up, I read a lot, instead of studying I would read and a lot of those books would be western fiction: classics like Eragon and Percy Jackson...After I eventually started running out of things to read that I liked, I got into manga.

Make no mistakes, Turtleme hasn’t only read western fantasies, he is also a huge manga and webtoon fan. He became versed in them a bit later, but he still loves many series. He mentioned Mushoku Tensei among the manga that he loves, and of course, it’s the hotshot isekai series.
When the interviewer asked him about his current interests, the author replied that he has been into webtoons recently. But after he has become up to date with a manhwa, he leaves reading it and forgets about continuing it. Unfortunately, he did not mention any specific series or recommendation for fans.
Tutleme also discussed that creating a believable world in his webtoon is far tougher than writing dialogues. However, the payoff that comes from worldbuilding is also huge. The Beginning After the End has an incredible and vast world in which Arthur learns many skills and comes to terms with some secrets, and fans have loved his journey so far. Needless to say, fans are looking forward to the upcoming anime adaptaion.
