Grant Gustin’s The Flash series is considered among the best live-action iterations of the Scarlet Speedster. Although the series’ quality took a nosedive in the concluding seasons, Gustin received widespread praise for his performance. Later, Ezra Miller also played a version of Flash in the DCEU films, but they could not leave a significant impact on the fans.

Grant Gustin reportedly earned around $100K per episode (via ComicBook) during the initial seasons of The Flash. The initial seasons had around 23 episodes which signifies that the Glee actor took home approximately $2.3 Million per season.
But Deadline reported that the 34-year-old actor signed a new deal for the ninth season. Reportedly, he got a little more than $200K per episode for the season finale. With 13 episodes in The Flash‘s season 9, Gustin took home nothing less than $2.6 Million for his final outing as The Fastest Man Alive.
Summing up the seasonal fees makes it evident that Grant Gustin did not make less than $20 Million for his run in the CW show. However, Ezra Miller only earned $4 Million for their The Flash film. Sadly, despite immense hype, the 2023 film was a massive box office loss. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Gustin also has a greater Net Worth ($9 Million) than Miller ($4 Million).
While Miller could have enjoyed more time as the Crimson Comet, their long list of controversies stopped them from getting another chance as the Flash.
Can we get Grant Gustin as Flash in the DCU?
After making cameos in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, when the fans saw Ezra Miller playing Flash in Justice League, many believed them to be a good choice. But sadly, their run was cut short by a series of legal troubles, and it is highly unlikely that they will be able to reprise their role.
Presently, several fans have urged James Gunn to take Grant Gustin to play the Scarlet Speedster on the big screen. Many rumors about him joining the DCU were also raised after conversations between him and the director of the upcoming Superman were revealed.
But speaking to Men’s Health, Gustin clarified that he only talked with James Gunn to express his excitement for David Corenswet’s Superman film and nothing else. When many fans asked James Gunn to cast the CW actor in his DCU, Gunn admitted his wish to work with Grant Gustin someday.

It will undoubtedly be interesting to imagine Grant Gustin getting a more polished appearance in the DCU. His performance can give the character a major comeback in James Gunn’s new DC era. Nevertheless, it is too soon to reach any conclusion. Gunn may also take any other face for the character to avoid any confusion between the fans.
