Nintendo Switch 2 Prediction Pinpoints the Exact Time the New Console Will be Announced

Nintendo Switch 2 is one of those consoles that seemingly everyone is looking forward to, with every new rumor and leak setting people on edge. Sure, Nintendo’s been stuck in a bunch of legal scuffles lately, but the company seems steadfast and undeterred when it comes to announcing the console.

Earlier this month, most leaks and rumors had us believe that the successor to Switch could be announced within the next 4-6 weeks. Now, there seems to be a lot of non-hushed whispers within the community that make it all but certain that, yes, Switch 2’s announcement might be upon us within the next few days.

So, what’s driving all this anticipation for an imminent reveal? Well, aside from all the lawsuits Nintendo has been throwing left and right to protect its IPs, when it comes to Nintendo’s announcement schedule, the company has a surprising knack for timing big news just days (or even hours) before major investor meetings.

For instance, take the original Switch itself: back in 2016, its first announcement as project NX came just five days before yet another major Investor Relations meeting.

So, considering this habit and the upcoming earnings call on November 5th, it seems rather logical to expect Switch 2’s reveal to fall, in all likelihood, within a week of said call.

In fact, if you go on any discussion board about the next Switch, you’ll find posts on top of posts speculating on the same thing, with most people completely certain that we might see the announcement between the 29th and the 3rd of next month.

I’m absolutely baffled nobody is thinking about this.

For the keen-eyed industry watchers, this timing would hardly be surprising. To be honest, it would be almost… predictable, wouldn’t it? But with Nintendo, you never quite know until it happens.

Now, assuming the Switch 2 reveal happens soon, what exactly will Nintendo bring to the table? Based on what we know so far, the new console will feature hardware comparable to the PS4 or Xbox One/Series S, with its docked mode being much more powerful than its predecessor.

Alongside that, Nintendo seems to be focusing on bringing an 8-inch display to the tablet, presumably OLED, with improved battery life, DLSS support for smoother graphics, and maybe even backward compatibility with original Switch games.

If that’s true, Nintendo would finally give fans what they’ve been clamoring for—a proper next-gen upgrade that doesn’t abandon its massive library.

Speaking of the library, there have been a ton of rumors swirling about the console’s potential launch lineup. Names like a new 3D Zelda title and Super Mario Odyssey 2 top the wishlist, along with a semi-remaster of all the prominent titles from the first Switch.

Considering how much the current Switch, as beloved as it may be, has been struggling to run its games, to the point that even indies and AA titles don’t run well, we say it’s about damn time the next console comes around.

Not to mention, with Xbox and PlayStation still facing a rough year in public perception, Nintendo couldn’t pick a better moment to jump into the current-gen race with something fresh and powerful.

Circling back to next week’s earnings call – the announcement, at the end of the day, may or may not happen, so all that’s left to do is to sit back and see what goes down next week.

But, with all that said, what are your thoughts on all the rumors surrounding the Nintendo Switch 2 so far? Are you looking forward to getting one yourself? Let us know in the comments below!
