The United States highlights the proportionality and military objectives of Israel’s attack on Iran
The White House considered early Friday to Saturday that the Israeli attack on Iran has been limited and with a purely military approach, which should avoid an escalation and an Iranian counterattack.

“The United States did not participate in this operation. Our goal has been to accelerate diplomacy and de-escalate tensions in the Middle East. We urge Iran to cease attacks on Israel so that this cycle of violence can end without further escalation,” said Sean Savett, spokesman for the White House National Security Council.
The Secretary of Defense of the United States, Lloyd Austin, reiterated this Friday night his country’s commitment to defending Israel and the state of alert in which its forces deployed in the region are in a call with the Israeli Minister of Defense, Yoav Gallant, to receive an update on the attack carried out by the Hebrew state against Iran.

Likewise, the head of the Pentagon emphasized that the United States maintains a military posture on alert to defend its personnel in the area, but also Israel and its allies from “threats from Iran and terrorist organizations supported by Iran. It is the determination of the United States to prevent any actor from exploiting tensions or expanding conflict in the region.
The Israeli Army announced this Saturday the end of its response against Iran after several hours of “precise attacks against military objectives” in the country in retaliation, it indicated, “for months of continuous attacks by the regime in Iran against the State of Israel.”
