Vote for the top Huntsville-area football player of Week 10

Fans can once again cast their vote for their favorite performance from north Alabama high school football action.

Coaches can submit statistics following their games on Friday night or nominate players before noon each Saturday.

Nominations must come from a coach or official team statistician. They can be emailed to [email protected].

Voting is open until Wednesday evening. The winner will be announced on AL.com on Thursday.

Here are the nominees from Week 10:

J.L. Davis, Austin: Davis accounted for seven touchdowns as Austin rolled to a 52-21 win over visiting Grissom on Friday. He threw five touchdown passes while running for two in the win, which moved the Class 7A, Region 4 champion Black Bears to 9-0 on the season.

Diego Holt, North Jackson: Holt finished with 234 yards and four touchdowns on 37 carries as North Jackson picked up a key 28-26 win over Randolph.

Josh Williams, Madison Academy: Williams led the Madison Academy offense with 275 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 24-16 win over Plainview on Friday.

Logan Anderson, Fyffe: Anderson finished with 260 yards and five touchdowns on 26 carries to lead Fyffe to a 42-7 blowout of Geraldine and a Class 3A, Region 8 title. Anderson scored on runs of 12, 17, 1, 70 and 21 yards.

Caleb Sanders, Bob Jones: Sanders ran for 192 yards and two touchdowns as Bob Jones clinched the Class 7A playoffs following a 54-14 blowout of Region 4 foe Huntsville.

Houston Scott, Westminster Christian: Scott completed 22 of his 34 passes for 200 yards and a touchdown in a 21-14 win over New Hope to clinch a Class 4A playoff spot; he also rushed for 21 yards.

Brogan Gross, Athens: The Athens quarterback accounted for three touchdowns as Athens posted a 49-20 blowout of Decatur on Friday. He ran for 1-yard score, while passing for touchdowns of 13 and 74 yards.

Tristan Childers, Boaz: Childers rushed for 170 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries to lead the Boaz offense in a key 31-21 win over Arab.
