After which, in several interviews, the actor was spotted saying that he hadn’t seen his daughter for a very long time. For instance, in 2016, In Touch Weekly mentioned that the actor had not seen or talked to Suri in more than two and a half years. Now jump to 2024; the dynamic is still the same, and Cruise continues to remain absent from his daughter’s life.
Talking about the same, an insider revealed in an interview as to how this has ruined his relationship with his daughter. The insider also added:
The simple fact why Tom hasn’t seen Suri in all these years is because he has chosen not to. That’s it. Tom didn’t see Suri grow up because he chose not to. It was entirely his decision
Interestingly, in June of this year, Suri dropped Cruise from her surname and changed it to Noelle, which is also Katie Holmes’ middle name. She did this in order to pay tribute to her mom and to create her own identity.

Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise were once Hollywood’s beloved power couple. The duo crossed paths with each other on the set of Days of Thunder in 1990. On-screen romance blossomed off-screen as well, and they got married in the same year and went on to adopt two kids, Isabella Jane in 1992 and Connor Antony in 1995.
After Days of Thunder, the couple collaborated again in Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut in 1999. And just two years later, in 2001, Cruise filed for divorce, stating irreconcilable differences.
In a rare moment during an interview via The Independent, the actress opened up about the filming of the movie, especially about director Kubrick. She added:
