We only have a few days to go before the citizens of the United States of America cast their votes in favor of their preferred candidates in the 2024 US Elections. As the battle between the two most popular contenders, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump continues to be quite head-to-head, celebrities have spoken up about who gets their vote and why, including Leonardo DiCaprio.
Recently, Leonardo DiCaprio posted a short video of himself endorsing Kamala Harris for President due to her stance on climate change. His support adds another high-profile celebrity to Team Democrats which has been referred to as “Diddy Parties” by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe. However, Joe Rogan believes that Leonardo DiCaprio’s endorsement is purely because of his environmentalism and not his past with Diddy.
Leonardo DiCaprio Endorses Kamala Harris
Two days ago, Leonardo DiCaprio posted a video on Instagram talking about hurricanes Helene and Milton. He stated that America needs leaders who are well “equipped” to deal with the deterioration of Earth’s climate and enact “policies that will help save the planet.”
He listed all the things Kamala Harris has done for the sake of Planet Earth and promised that under her leadership, the world just might become happier and healthier.
DiCaprio has been a long outspoken advocate for climate change in the past. He is the founder of the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, an NPO that is devoted to spreading environmental awareness. His passion for saving the planet, podcaster Joe Rogan believes, is the only reason he is voting for the Democrats, unlike what Tony Hinchcliffe may have suggested.
As high-profile celebrities endorse Harris, Hinchcliffe joked at the campaign rally for Donald Trump, “Every day, the Democrat Party looks more like a Diddy Party!” This was a dig at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ now-infamous parties which were attended by the big names of the entertainment industry.
Even though DiCaprio has been linked with Diddy for attending his parties in the past, Rogan firmly believes climate change is the only reason he’s all for Harris. On The Joe Rogan Experience, he stated,
That’s why Leonardo DiCaprio is voting for Kamala Harris. It has nothing to do with the Diddy parties. Nothing to do with the Diddy parties. He’s endorsed Kamala Harris because of climate change.
As Diddy awaits trial after being incarcerated for s-x trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation for pr-stitution, many celebrities seem to have been roped into the mess solely based on them attending his once iconic parties. DiCaprio’s participation in these parties may have raised eyebrows amongst the public, but a source close to him denies any connection he may or may not have with the alleged Freak Off parties.
Leonardo DiCaprio and the Diddy Parties
According to the Mirror, DiCaprio was once deemed as the “number 1 person” on Diddy’s invite list but the last time the two were pictured together was back in 2019 when the latter celebrated his 50th birthday.
Photos of the Titanic actor attending the White Parties resurfaced on social media, making people question his relationship with Diddy.
However, according to a source who confided to Daily Mail (via Mirror), DiCaprio hasn’t “been in contact” with Diddy for years and was never a part of the alleged Freak Off. The source added that while DiCaprio did attend Diddy’s parties in the past, they were your usual house parties and not the Freak Offs.
Leonardo DiCaprio has absolutely nothing to do with any of this. He attended a few of his parties back in the early 2000s – but literally everyone did. They were not freak-offs. They were big house parties. Leo was at the start of his career at the time and has moved way past his partying. He has nothing to do with any of that world, so for anyone to assume that he will get roped into this based on a few grainy photos that are more than 20 years old is ridiculous.
As per the source, DiCaprio couldn’t care less about the federal case against Diddy and isn’t even thinking about it since he has nothing to worry about.
