Actors are notorious for sneaking things off the sets of their movies or series, whether it is something related to their character or anything else that catches their fancy. While some end up receiving props as gifts, most actors often tend to nick their favorite pieces, right under the noses of the production and crew.
Yellowstone star Luke Grimes too is looking out to keep a few things from the sets of the hit Paramount show now the series is finally coming to an end after a splendid run.
Luke Grimes Wants to Take His Yellowstone ‘Trademark Feature’ Home
The tale of Yellowstone is finally going to wrap up as the remaining episodes of the series’ fifth season are set to premiere just a few days later. While fans are prepping to say goodbye to their favorite characters, the cast and crew already bid farewell to the show and its neo-Western world months ago.
As is the custom, Luke Grimes, who starred as rancher John Dutton’s son Kayce, picked up a few things off the sets of Yellowstone. The actor later revealed in an interview with Variety.
They gave me the back of my cast chair, those directors chairs that have your name. So I’ve had the same one since the very first season. And then I’m hearing that I’ll get to keep a couple pieces of wardrobe. I’m hoping that’s true.
While he is happy to have the back of his cast chair, he next revealed that he really wants to take his ‘trademark feature’ home aka his character’s iconic jacket.
The jacket I wear in that show is pretty legendary to me. I actually want to frame it and put it in my office. It’s symbolic, like it started off very clean and our fingers got very dirty and it went through the ringer and made it to the end. So I think I’d love to keep that for good.
It seems that they kept the same jacket throughout the series’ run, which is pretty commendable since actors often have several pieces of the same clothing item. While we do not know whether he got to keep Kayce Dutton’s iconic trademark jacket or not, it’s clear that it holds significant sentimental value for him, representing not just his character but also his journey throughout the series.
Yellowstone is Finally Coming to an End
After years of speculation, controversy, and waiting, Yellowstone is finally coming to an end. The first part of the fifth season of the series wrapped up way back in January 2023, and since then there was doubt about the show’s return since its lead, Kevin Costner had apparently left the show.
While he only ever confirmed his departure pretty recently, it was the rumor of his alleged feud with the show’s creator Taylor Sheridan, and the production that ended up creating so much drama and speculation. And now, the wait is finally over since the remaining episodes of the series’ fifth and last season are set to air on November 10.
Although fans will not see John Dutton, it will still be exciting to witness the conclusion of the Montana ranch residents and everyone involved. Given where the last season left off and Sheridan’s impeccable writing genius, the finale promises to be a high-stakes ride full of potential dramatic confrontations and enticing character arcs.
Having left a long-lasting legacy in the world of television, the end of Yellowstone is certainly a poignant moment for all fans, and we cannot wait to witness how it all goes down.
The second part of Season 5 of Yellowstone will premiere on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Paramount+.
