NEW CASTLE, Pa. (WKBN) – Two park projects in Lawrence County are getting funding from state grants.
The grants total $83,000 for two recreational improvement projects. Lawrence County was awarded $13,400 to prepare a master site development plan for the 1-acre Lawrence County Veterans Park.
New Castle will also receive $69,600 for the rehabilitation of Farrell Park which will include a new pedestrian walkway, parking area and playground equipment.
Rep. Marla Brown, R-Lawrence, made the funding announcement Wednesday. She said the funding is coming from the Community Conservation Partnerships Program.
