FORMER Rangers star Ryan Kent’s move to Turkey quickly turned sour and he’s now a free agent.
And that could be the same fate that awaits another ex-Ibrox ace who headed for the country, according to a report.
Kent moved to Fenerbahce in the summer of 2023 after his Rangers contract expired.
But his four-year deal was ripped up last month after a highly disappointing year that saw him all but frozen out at the club.
While Kent’s time in the Turkish Super Lig is over, there are still a couple of his former Rangers teammates plying their trade in the league.
Both Borna Barisic and John Lundstram were snapped-up by Trabzonspor in the summer transfer window just gone after their contracts at Ibrox expired.

Trabzonspor would no doubt have been expecting to be battling towards the top of the table but two wins from 11 league games so far has left them languishing in 12th.
Midfielder Lundstram has been playing regularly – albeit not without his fair share of criticism – in what has been a disappointing campaign for the club.
However, it’s been a disappointing story for Barisic who has barely been featuring.
The Croatian left-back has made just ONE start in the league all season – and it came all the way back in AUGUST.
In fact, his last start in any competition also came back in August in a Conference League qualifier against St Gallen.
Since then, he’s largely been restricted to late substitute appearances, coming off the bench just four times from September onwards.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Barisic’s future at Trabzonspor is already in doubt just five months into a two-year contract.
While a potential loan move in January has been mooted, there’s now a report in Turkey claiming that a contract TERMINATION is on the cards.
Gunebakis claim that Trabzonspor made contact with Barisic’s agent to discuss ripping up his deal.
The end result of those conversations remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, Robin Propper hopes his performance against Olympiacos can prove a turning point in his Rangers career.
The Dutch defender has struggled since his summer switch from Twente but was a standout in the impressive 1-1 draw in Greece last week.
“I keep on focusing on what I do well and I try to learn from the mistakes I make.
