The long-awaited sequel, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” hit theaters this weekend, Sept. 6. So how much would the home cost in Connecticut’s current market?
The folks over at PlayPennsylvania.com revealed a fictional real estate listing of the iconic Maitland house, and it would cost readers a hefty $461,398 to buy.
The house was originally priced at $344,400 in Winter River, CT, according to a release. Adjusted for inflation, that price has since jumped more than $100,000, or a yearly $11,700 price hike from 2014 to today. You would be paying $163 per square foot of the 2,800 sq. ft. residence.
According to Zillow, the house would be 12% more expensive compared to the average price of a home in Connecticut, which is $411,971.

Looking to save a bit on the price? You would have to travel back in time to 1988 when the original “Beetlejuice” was released, as the home would have cost just $172,101, according to a release.
“The return of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has been long-awaited by fans, and it will be interesting to observe how popular the modern sequel is,” said Tristan Kay, Head of Casino at PlayPennsylvania. “It is always fascinating to analyze the cost of fictional houses since it provides an insight into their actual real estate value if they existed.
