CELTIC have already pocketed record Champions League prize money this season – even though they’ve got AT LEAST four matches still to play.
The Hoops raced onto seven points from their four matches to date with an impressive 3-1 win over Bundesliga cracks RB Leipzig.
That opens up a great chance for qualification – with a remarkable top eight spot which would open up a direct route to the last 16 suddenly appearing to be a possibility.
And the good news for the Parkhead bean counters is that the exploits of Brendan Rodgers‘ men has already unlocked record Uefa prize money, according to Game State UK on X.
In data which DOESN’T include gate receipts, they project that the Hoops have already earned £30.8m, or 37M Euros, with at least four matches to go.
According to their numbers, record sum actually came 12 months ago, with 36.1M Euros (£30m).

Ironically – given the upturn in results – under the new Champions League model, the performance related element is actually DOWN.
Previously 55% of the prize fund total, it’s now only 37.5%.
It’s all very complicated but every team gets £15.5m starting fee before they kick a single ball.
You can add in another £4.1m from the Hoops performance related element for two wins and a draw to date.
Then there’s another element called the value pillar, of which estimates still vary but will be north of £10m.
The estimate could still be on the conservative side with another £9.1m up for grabs for teams who make the last 16 of the competition – plus another £1.7m bonus.
That could go Celtic‘s way on a guaranteed basis if their remaining group results see them finish in the top eight after the league phase.
With perhaps a few more wins along the way, means the Hoops can be hopeful of pocketing the best part of £50m in prize money in all if they can reach the last 16 – even before factoring in gate receipts.
